Amity Technology purchases air seeding product line

(FARGO, N.D.) — Amity Technology, LLC, a Fargo-based agricultural manufacturing company, has announced the recent purchase of the air seeding and agricultural attachments line of products from Fargo Products LLC.
The air seeding product lines include: Fargo Aire® Air Systems, Fargo Aire® Double Disc Drill & Hoe Drill, and the new Twin Disc Drill.

Company president, Howard Dahl, says the new product offerings fit in well with Amity Technology’s existing line of seasonal sugar beet equipment.

“Jack Oberlander and Gene Breker of Fargo Products are leaders in the air seeding world and have earned a reputation for product innovation and outstanding service,” said Amity Technology president Howard Dahl. “We have a strong international market for our sugar beet equipment, as well as our soil sampling and tillage equipment, and this acquisition allows us to provide customers throughout the world with an even higher level of both technology and service.”

Oberlander, president of Fargo Products LLC, is enthusiastic about the venture, adding, “We are looking forward to the opportunity to make a bigger impact in the air seeding industry.”

Founded in 1996, Amity Technology is the world’s leading manufacturer of sugar beet harvesting equipment and manufactures Concord Soil Samplers and other cutting-edge crop management products. It also partners with a sister company, Wil-Rich, LLC of Wahpeton, N.D., on the worldwide marketing of a complete line of tillage implements, and Wishek Steel and Manufacturing Co. of Wishek, N.D., an international provider of the Wishek Disc and other farm equipment.

Amity Technology is the first North Dakota company to be named Exporter of the Year for Region VIII of the Small Business Administration. Region VIII includes Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
